AACC Robing Ceremony

The Clarence L. Barney African American Cultural Center (AACC) invites SPRING, SUMMER, or FALL 2023 graduates to participate in one of the most significant events surrounding the culmination of your academic career at LSU, the AACC Robing Ceremony. This year’s ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 2:00p.m. in the Bo Campbell Auditorium of the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

Celebrated since 1996, the ceremony honors the achievements of students graduating from LSU who identify as African American/Black. Included in the ceremony is a “Rites of Passage” which is the presentation of a Kente cloth stole from a Rober of the graduate's choice. The Kente cloth stole fee is $40.00.
