On May 21, 2024, Governor Jeff Landry signed HB 31 allowing Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) participants a one-time irrevocable election to join the Teachers’ Retirement System of LA (TRSL). During these sessions ORP participants will learn the basics of each retirement plan, where to go for assistance with determining which plan is best for you, and information on transfer forms, procedures, enrollment timeline, along with answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.
