Classical Studies presents Orphee. French with English subtitles. Legendary French filmmaker, author, and artist Jean Cocteau sets his adaptation of the Orpheus myth in post-WWII France.  Orpheus is a successful poet who feels that he is losing relevancy as an artist.  A chance encounter with a mysterious woman leads him to new inspiration, but his obsession with the woman and his poetry puts at risk life with his beloved wife Eurydice.
