About this Event
This event gives our alumni an opportunity to give back to students by sharing their wisdom on different subjects from various career fields. They also give them a chance to network and ask questions they may have regarding their career path and/or major.
Join us for our September Speaker, Julie White (ag education, '00). Happening on Sept. 16 from 11:30-12:20 pm at the Olinde Career Center. Free lunch will be provided.
Julie White was born and raised in Denham Springs, Louisiana, were she and her family raised Jersey cattle. She was an active member of Livingston Parish 4-H growing up. She graduated from LSU in May 2000. Since then, Julie received her Master of Science (Agricultural and Extension Education) in 2003 from Mississippi State University and will receive her Doctor of Philosophy (Agricultural Sciences, concentrating on Agricultural and Extension Education) in May 2022 from Mississippi State University, on which her research focused on Perceptions of Middle School Students on Gardening. Julie White is an Extension Associate with the Mississippi State University Extension Service (22 years of service), focusing on agricultural literacy along with the development and coordination of two programs, FARMtastic, a statewide agriculture literacy program for 2nd – 4th graders and iFARM, an agriculture day camp held on the MSU Campus for 5th-8th graders.
