About this Event
Free EventDear LSU is a timely event that focuses on a commitment to social equality and social justice, two issues that heavily resonate with minority and marginalized populations. BGPSA, in partnership with Student Activities Board, hopes to spark a conversation on these two issues with the help of Logan Browning (character name Samantha White), the star of Netflix’s satirical-drama series Dear White People. There will also be screening of the first episode from the newest season on April 2, 2019 in the LSU Student Union Theatre.
Dear LSU is designed for students, faculty, staff, and surrounding Greater Baton Rouge communities. It will show how emerging leaders have developed interest in activism, social equality, and social justice in a way that further develops knowledge and skills around these topics. This event is for those more experienced in these topics as well as those interested in mobilizing unity, diversity, and cohesion on campus.
