The LSU Distinguished Undergraduate Researcher Program (DURP), offered by the LSU Office of Undergraduate Research, is a graduation distinction that students can work toward earning through their participation in faculty-mentored undergraduate research. An LSU Distinguished Undergraduate Researcher is a student who has demonstrated oustanding abilities as an advanced student researcher in their discipline. 

Students interested in pursuing the graduation distinction must attend an in-person orientation and enroll in the program prior to the start of their graduating semester in order to be eligible. The orientation covers all of the requirements for earning the distinction.
