Each organization as defined in Max Gruver Act shall provide annually at least one hour of hazing prevention education to all members and prospective members. The education may be provided in person, electronically, or both. Each organization shall submit a report annually to the institution with which it is affiliated relative to the students receiving such education evidenced by an attestation of the student receiving the education.

LSU's Hazing Prevention Education Committee developed a comprehensive curriculum for student organizations/groups.

LSU offers both in-person and online (Moodle) Hazing Prevention Education courses.

LSU is assisting student organizations in fulfilling the Hazing Prevention Education requirements of the Max Gruver Act by providing Hazing Prevention Education training sessions.

  • This presentation is being offered to groups and members who would rather attend an in-person training session and not conduct their own session or complete the Hazing Prevention Education Moodle Module.
  • Organizations must provide their own sign-in sheets or verification process for members attending training sessions.
  • If you have a member who missed your organization’s hazing training, you can have them attend one of these trainings to comply with the Max Gruver Act.
