The housing portal opens for deposited students to complete one of these two processes to enroll at LSU for 2026-27:  

• Submit the housing application, building preferences, academic-year housing contract, and submit the $75 non-refundable fee, or 
• Submit an exemption request to the first-year student live-on requirement. Requests must be approved. 

The date you complete the housing application, your list of preferred housing options, and your roommate pair all help determine your room assignment, which is made for you by the LSU Assignments Team. 

The priority housing application completion date is May 31, 2026. Applications submitted June 1 and later will go on a housing stand-by list and will be accommodated as space becomes available later in the summer.
