Looking for a way to give back to the Baton Rouge community? Service Saturdays are designed for you to do just that! February's service opportunity is volunteering with the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. We will help paint, build planter boxes, build benches and more at the O'Brien House, which is a house that provides services allowing their clients suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction to stabilize their lives, focus on recovery and prepare for a new life after they leave the O'Brien House.
Mid City develops and promotes the "growth and renewal of Mid City Baton Rouge by attracting new and retaining current residents and businesses in an effort to practice comprehensive community development through the prioritization of people and place." You can sign up on the Honors site.
