Lecture: "Beyond Victims and Criminals: Who Killa da Chief, Sicily Lemons, and a Reappraisal of Sicilian New Orleans."

Please join the Department of Foreign Languages in welcoming Dr. Justin Nystrom to Louisiana State University. Dr. Nystrom is the author of "Creole Italian: Sicilian Immigrants and the Shaping of New Orleans Food Culture," which explores the influence Sicilian immigrants have had on New Orleans foodways.

The title of his talk is: "Beyond Victims and Criminals: Who Killa da Chief, Sicily Lemons, and a Reappraisal of Sicilian New Orleans."

The talk will take place in Barnes and Noble at LSU, in the Event Room on February 25th at 2:30.

Dr. Nystrom is Associate Professor in the History Department at Loyola University New Orleans, where he also serves as
director of the Center for the Study of New Orleans and the Loyola Documentary and Oral History Studio.
