The identification of the origin of dark matter is an outstanding problem, connecting cosmology with particle physics. After an introduction to the dark matter problem, the talk will explore the landscape of methods and techniques that are currently pursued to try to identify in the fluxes of cosmic messengers those rare dark matter signals which are expected from the different structures that populate the universe (galaxies, galaxy clusters, cosmic voids and filaments) if dark matter is of particle origin.
User Activity
Is there any way that students outside of this field of study can attend the seminar? I am currently in the College of Engineering but wish to dabble in other fields of research. If I can still attend, please let me know,
Thank you!
