The LSU Wind Ensemble concludes their academic year with "The Music Around Us", a program celebrating works inspired by the world we inhabit. The evening opens with Gershwin’s lively Cuban Overture, followed by Lili Boulanger’s vivid and colorful D’un Matin de Printemps. Closing the first half is the world premiere of a concerto composed by LSU’s own Professor Willis Delony, blending his expertise in piano and jazz. After intermission, the program will conclude with Steven Bryant’s Concerto for Wind Ensemble, an immersive and electrifying showcase of the ensemble’s virtuosity.
