View map Free EventThe LSU A Cappella Choir will present one of the first collegiate performances of Kile Smith's The Dawn's Early Light, an exploration the question posed by our national anthem - "Is our flag still there?"
The group will additionally perform American-related works such as Dvořák's Te Deum, which was written for the 400-year anniversary of Europe's discovery of the Americas, and Bernstein's Mass: A Theatre Piece for Singers, Players, and Dancers, which was commissioned for the inauguration of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
