Join the LSU Chamber Singers, under the direction of James Rodrigue, in a showcase of choral music reflecting on water and rivers.
The first half of the program explores tumult personally, communally, and environmentally through works by William Billings, Herbert Sumsion, and Franz Haydn. We then turn to a triptych of love songs by American composers James Erb, Samuel Barber, and a world premiere of a work by Dylan Trần. The program is bookended by "Stand in that River," a secular meditation urging us all to send our troubles downwater, capped by an audience singalong.
