Native American Student Organization's (NASO) initiative to revive the annual Pow Wow. This event has a long history at LSU, however, a few years ago funding for the program disappeared and the event was cancelled. Now, with the support of the a student-led committee, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, the College of Agriculture, and the LSU Student Government, we hope to bring this cherished program back for Spring 2020.
A Pow Wow is a a North American Indian ceremony involving singing and dancing. We plan to invite the community to share in the celebration of Native American cultural exchange.
