Louisiana State University

LSU Science Café: Science for All

Less than 50 percent of U.S. undergraduate students who enter science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) degree programs as aspiring freshmen complete degrees in these areas. This is especially true for minorities, whose departure from STEM degree programs is often twice the rate of others. Join LSU Assistant Dean for Diversity & Inclusion Zakiya Wilson-Kennedy for an inspiring presentation on how communities around the U.S., including here in Baton Rouge, are effectively broadening participation in STEM.

LSU Science Café is sponsored by the LSU Office of Research & Economic Development and held on the last Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 5 p.m. for networking and light refreshments, and the talk will start at 6 p.m. People of all ages are welcome.
