The LSU Symphonic Winds close their year with a concert of music written by living composers. The selections recognize the cyclical nature of life, completing of circles, and our individual journeys. The concert begins with Full Circle by Ryan George, pays homage to our wind band tradition through Robert Spittal’s Consort for Ten Winds, and ultimately culminates with John Mackey’s highly combustive Kingfishers Catch Fire.
