Louisiana State University

Nontraditional Students Week

The event will be held in the Union. This decision to have it inside was based off of the attendance numbers from last year. The max attendant number was 50 people for international student day. The crowd trickled in and was never in the same room at the same time. If need be the event can be held outside in free speech. Food wise we have decided to do "snack packs." Since we cannot do buffet style foods, individually wrapped bags filled with things such as phone backs, cups, granola bars, candy, waters. To maintain social distancing guidelines, we have made the event a table sit as opposed to a conference. This will create more of a trickling in of attendees in small groups as opposed to everyone at once. We do have activities, trivia, games planned (such as Louisiana history for International Students) all of these will proceed while maintaining social distancing guidelines and with mask. We plan on having sanitation at the table as well as enforcing mask to be worn at all times.( Each day is dedicated to a different type of nontraditional student breaking up attendance)
