Professional Development Webinar Series- Archives for Black Lives in Philadelphia's Anti-Racist Description Resources

Archives for Black Lives in Philadelphia (A4BLiP) is a loose association of archivists, librarians, and allied professionals in the area responding to the issues raised by the Black Lives Matter movement. As a primarily white group, we seek to push white archivists to deconstruct white supremacy in their archives and within the profession. Members of A4BLiP’s working group on anti-racist archival description will present on their work to devise resources to help archivists create anti-oppressive archival description and audit repositories’ descriptions for racist language.
