Industry analysts estimate that 60%-80% of analytics projects fail to be put into production. These instances represent a lack of convergence between people, process, and technology. John Gottula will discuss the trend of "multimodal analytics" which seeks to connect complementary skillsets in rich, deep, and daily collaboration in data. The motivating example will be a digital agriculture project including the typical roster of data engineers, statistical modelers, machine learning engineers, subject matter experts and program sponsors. The platform of SAS Viya, a cloud-based multi-language analytics environment, will also be introduced.
