Canceled: Stately Oaks Band Festival

***This event has been cancelled.***

Due to the recent surge in the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, the LSU Department of Bands unfortunately must cancel the Stately Oaks Band Festival, originally scheduled for early February 2022.

We are extremely disappointed to share this news, however, the safety of students and guests on our campus is of the utmost priority, and we do not believe that hosting the festival is aligned with best health practices at this time. We are looking forward to bringing this incredible experience back in 2023.

Refunds will be automatically processed for anyone who is already registered. There is no need to reach out to request a refund, however, we do ask for patience as the process may take some time.

Stately Oaks and Junior Oaks are multi-day camps designed for high school (grades 9 – 12) and middle school (grades 7 and 8) band students. Students will participate in full band rehearsals with special guest conductors, receive a group masterclass on their instrument, and have the exciting opportunity to engage with one of the LSU concert ensembles in an interactive rehearsal.

Camp participants will also attend the LSU Collage Concert, which features students and faculty of the LSU Department of Bands and LSU School of Music, and perform in a final concert of their own on Saturday afternoon, which will be free and open to the public.
