The Turner-Fischer Center for Opera brings you a modern adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s legendary tragedy The House of Bernarda Alba, reimagined by composer Griffin Candey and librettist Caridad Svich.
Matriarch Bernarda Alba and her five daughters must keep to a strict eightyear mourning period after the death of her husband. Bernarda’s tyrannical rule over the household is soon challenged by her youngest daughter, Adela, escalating tensions to a breaking point.
