Daron Aric Hagen's eleventh opera integrates extensive pre-shot films and electro-acoustic tracks in collaboration with live instruments and singers, creating an imaginative look into the minutes following Orson Welles' heart attack in 1985 in which, poised between life and death, Welles takes stock of his life.

Hagen's Operafilm has won first place awards at numerous film festivals around the world, and these performances with the Turner-Fischer Center for Opera at LSU mark the collegiate premiere of this fascinating, mind-bending work.
