Named for A.P. Tureaud Sr., civil rights attorney that fought to integrate LSU, the Medical Center and the LSU Law School, as well as other public education institutions within Louisiana. His son, A.P. Tureaud, Jr., became the first African American student to enroll at LSU. Tureaud Hall houses several classrooms and lecture halls.
